Accounting – Two Positions
The Adrian College Department of Accountancy and Business Administration invites applications for two full-time tenure-track accounting positions beginning in the 2013-2014 academic year. A Ph.D. or D.B.A in Accounting is the preferred educational background for this position. Applicants with doctoral degrees in a related field, or Masters level applicants with significant high-level working world experience and are CPA’s with multiple professional certifications (such as CMA, CFE and others) will be considered.
A normal teaching load is 12 credit hours each semester. These courses include individual work as well as small-group activities and presentations, and faculty work closely with all students. Additional duties include professional development, academic advising and college service.
Adrian College’s accountancy program is also distinguished by having a Bachelor of Science in Public Accounting which requires 150 semester hours for completion. The newly created Masters program offers an additional opportunity and an alternative track for highly qualified public accounting candidates from within Adrian College, and also for qualified students with baccalaureate degrees from other colleges and universities.

Communication Arts and Sciences
Communications Tenure track faculty position; begins August 1, 2013
The Communication Arts Department invites qualified professionals to apply for a full time, tenure track position at the assistant professor level beginning in August 1, 2013. We seek an outstanding professional who will complement our dedicated and collaborative faculty.
The successful applicant will engage in public, departmental, and college service and demonstrate a continuing commitment to bridging theory with practice in an applied arts setting. S/he will have a liberal arts background, academic leadership experience, and demonstrated readiness to teach undergraduate courses in a combination of the following: contemporary audio/video production; public relations in academic and corporate applications; communication ethics; radio activities.
Minimum qualifications
Ph.D. in Communication Arts or related field, ABD considered. Commitment to curricular development and assessment; willingness to become involved in state, regional, national, and/or international organizations dedicated to Communication Arts and related fields.
Preferred qualifications
Terminal degree in hand; record of successful college or university level teaching and associated professional media experience; established portfolio and work in field of specialization. An M.B.A., along with significant working world experience and current knowledge of the business field, especially in the use of quantitative managerial information for decision making purposes is strongly desired.
