From learning to application.
Studying anatomy, human and exercise physiology and kinesiology is only a portion of the Exercise Science and Sports Education department. Application of the materials learned is an integral part of the education at Adrian College.
David Trevisan studied the foot for his 2013 Ribbons of Excellence presentation. An Outstanding Ribbons of Excellence Program Award Nominee, Trevisan reviewed and discussed literature surrounding the differences, advantages and structures involving supinated and pronated foot types. Supinated foot types are believed to give runners an advantage over other runners, based on the evidence presented. The presentation focused on the ribbon Thinking Critically. The project represented Adrian College at the Michigan American College of Sports Medicine Conference in Gaylord, Michigan.
