Physics is a broad field that encompasses diverse disciplines such as astrophysics, biophysics, condensed matter physics, geophysics, medical physics, nuclear physics, and particle physics. An undergraduate degree in physics provides the foundation necessary for graduate study in physics and related fields, but is also excellent preparation for professional work in fields such as education, engineering & applied physics, law, and medicine. In fact, physics majors, on average, regularly outperform students from nearly every other discipline on the MCAT and LSAT. Students interested in Physics are encouraged to meet with a physics faculty member as early as possible to discuss a specific plan of study.
