The laws of the world—inspiring a new generation of students.
Physics is defined as a set of fundamental laws that help set up the universe. Everything from gravity to matter (or the lack thereof), magnetism to relativity—it all inspires and motivates the students of Adrian College to better understand (and test) their world.
Based on current events and an extension from a classical mechanics course, a group of students—Logan Plath, Stephanie Boehringer, Mitch Stefanaski and Brian Diven—developed a computer program to simulate the sky dife of Felix Baumgartner. On October 14, 2012, Baumgartner jumped from roughly 128,000 feet above the surface as part of the Red Bull Stratos project. The simulations tracked Baumgartner’s descent in multiple dimensions. The project revolved around the ribbon Thinking Critically.
