Welcome New Faculty Members!
We have created this page to introduce our
staff and some of the services we provide. We are here to assist you in any
way we can -- please don't hesitate to contact us with questions, to schedule
a tour of the library, or just to say hello.

Services
Borrowing
Faculty members may borrow books for 120 days. DVDs
and videos circulate for one week, and CDs circulate for four weeks. Your
Adrian College photo ID serves as your library card. When you first visit,
we will need to set up your account in our computer system, but this only
takes a minute. Faculty members are not charged overdue fines (except for
materials borrowed through interlibrary loan), but we do charge replacement
cost for lost materials.
Interlibrary Loan
Our interlibrary loan service gives you free access
to books, articles and other items not held by our library. We are able to
borrow from libraries across the country. You can make ILL requests directly
through many of our databases
-- this is the most convenient method. You can also make requests through
book and article
request forms available on our website. Overdue fines for ILL materials are
$1 per item per day. Richard Geyer
is the staff contact for renewals.
Off-Campus Access to Library Resources
You are able to access all our databases and electronic
journals from home. When you click a database link from our website, you will
be prompted for your Adrian College Blackboard system username and password.
If you have questions or problems with off-campus access, please contact David
Cruse.
Bibliographic Instruction
Currently, our bibliographic instruction program is
limited to English 101 courses. Contact Richard
Geyer to schedule a session.
Reserves
We offer a reserve service for faculty. You can place
books, articles, class notes, and other materials on reserve. Contact David
Cruse with questions about reserves. We do not currently have an electronic
reserve system, but you can use the Blackboard
courseware system to post documents online for your courses. Contact Christine
Adams or David Cruse with questions
about using Blackboard for reserve documents.

Ordering Library Materials
We rely on faculty to help us order useful new materials for our collection.
We welcome your suggestions for books, DVDs, CDs or other items to purchase.
You should get Chioce cards for review through your department, and you can
submit these to your department chair for purchase. There is also an order
form availble on our website. Please contact Noelle
Keller with any questions about ordering.
