ACHA Women’s Hockey Headed to Nationals

Lady Bulldogs headed to nationals for the first time.

ADRIAN, Mich. - In just its second year as a program, the Adrian College women’s ACHA hockey team will be going to nationals for the first time. The announcement was made today (Wednesday) as the Bulldogs will be one of eight schools competing for the national championship in Division I. The field for this year’s tournament includes Miami (Ohio), Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Robert Morris (Ill.), Adrian, Michigan, Liberty and Michigan State. The national tournament will take place on March 13-16 in Newark, Delaware on the campus of the University of Delaware. Minnesota won it all in 2012-13 in Ashburn, Virginia defeating Liberty in the championship game. Of those teams in the field, Michigan State and Robert Morris (Ill.) are the only ones to win a national championship doing it twice a piece (MSU 2010-11, 2002-03 and RMU 2004-05, 2006-07).
