Adrian College Alumni Return To Their Musical Roots

ADRIAN, Mich.—On Sunday, October 7, Motif, one of Detroit’s top performance groups, will return to Dawson Auditorium to present their current Revue “Broadway: Old and New.” The group is composed of 12 powerhouse musicians including Adrian College alumni Eric Swanson ’07 , Gerianne Ditto ’08, Jessica Kobel ’08, and Ashley Laabs ’09. The performance includes songs from such blockbuster shows as “Hair,” “American Idiot,” “Hairspray,” “The Lion King” and “Rent.”

Motif last performed at the College in January 2012. They have since performed in concerts and additional revues throughout the Metro-Detroit region including Royal Oak, Birmingham and Rochester. Motif highlights the talents of several solo performers with careers leading theatre companies like Birmingham Village Players, Avon Players, Stagecrafters, Grosse Pointe Theatre, Ringwald Theatre and the Detroit Actor’s Theatre Company. Their performances are made up of high-energy chorus numbers and moving solo moments

The event is open to the public and will be performed on stage at Dawson Auditorium on Sunday October 7 at 7:00 p.m., doors will open at 6:30 p.m. General admission is $10 and $5 student/senior (free for Adrian College students).
