ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian College made a donation of a 60-inch flat screen television to the Hope Center, located in Adrian. The TV will be used by Hope members to view movies, to play games and for other educational purposes. A plaque will be placed near the TV indicating that the College made the donation.
Adrian College has been a distinct partner with the Center, with several departments including social work, athletics and teacher education placing students there in both internships and community engagement opportunities. Earlier this spring, the College also hosted a ‘Prom for Hope’ with area students during Disabilities Awareness Week. Over 200 were in attendance for this inaugural event.
“Our relationship with the Hope Center enriches our community and we are honored to work with them in and out of the classroom,” said Dr. Agnes Caldwell, vice president and dean of academic affairs at the College.
The donation was provided as a continued commitment to giving back and supporting the community through enriched experiences and student engagement.
