ADRIAN, Mich (August 20, 2014) — Adrian College was recently lauded by The Chronicle for Higher Education as one of the ‘Top 20 Fastest-Growing Baccalaureate Colleges’ in the country.
The list, publicized in the Almanac of Higher Education on August 18, further supports the College’s recent momentum. The enrollment numbers were recorded over a 10-year period, beginning in 2002. Adrian is ranked 19 out of 20 private baccalaureate institutions, which have experienced rapid growth. Boasting a 76.6% increase in enrollment, the recognition is one of several national rankings the College has received in recent years.
“It is an honor for Adrian College to be named as one of the ‘Top 20 Fastest-Growing Baccalaureate Colleges’ in the country,” said Dr. Jeffrey R. Docking, president of Adrian College. “Our outstanding faculty, new academic and athletic facilities, innovative programs and small class sizes, are attractive to students and families who want a quality education experience that prepares them to succeed in our increasingly competitive economy.”
The College has garnered national attention on a number of fronts. In its 2014 edition of America’s Best Colleges, U.S. News & World Report ranked Adrian College as a ‘Regional Top Baccalaureate College’ and ‘Best Value’ in the Midwest. US News also recognized the College as an ‘Up and Coming’ school and an institution with the ‘Least Debt Load’ on its students upon graduation. The College also made headlines when, in the fall of 2013, it launched AdrianPlus, a loan assurance program for its students.
“The increase in student interest and enrollment growth over the past decade is directly correlated to the culture of innovation and attention to accountability that exists on our campus,” said Frank Hribar, vice president for enrollment and student affairs. “The anticipation of an even brighter decade-to-come is inspiring.”
Adrian College is located in Southeast Michigan, about 40 minutes from Ann Arbor and Toledo.
