Adrian College Ranked as a “Top College” in the Midwest By US News & World Report

ADRIAN, Mich. – U.S. News & World Report has ranked Adrian College as “‘Regional Top College in the Midwest” in its 2013 edition of America’s Best Colleges. The College is listed 26th in the Midwest region in its “Best Regional Colleges” section, the second consecutive year the College has held this distinction. Ranking information can be found at www.usnews.com.

“Adrian College continues to position itself as a premier, selective college in the United States,” said Dr. Jeffrey R. Docking, president of Adrian College. “Current students and alumni can be proud of how our rapid expansion has resulted in the evolution of highly qualified students that are successful in a competitive job market,” Docking noted. “We continue to witness a dramatic increase in the number of our students successfully moving into graduate, law, and medical school.”

This is the fifth consecutive year Adrian College has been featured by U.S. News and World Report. In its 2009 edition of America’s “Best Colleges” and again in 2010, Adrian College received top billing as the “#1 Up-and-Coming School in the Midwest.” In its 2011 and 2012 edition of “America’s Best Colleges,” U.S. News & World Report ranked Adrian College as one of the top five schools in the Midwest of Regional Colleges to have the least amount of debt on their students upon graduation.

“Affordability is the top concern parents express with respect to their child’s education,” Docking said. “We recognize the importance of financial aid in these difficult times and we are working close with our benefactors to support the educational values of our students.”

The College continues to experience monumental growth in academic programs and facilities with exceptionally qualified students and an experienced faculty who are among the top in their fields. Throughout the past six years, Adrian College has doubled its enrollment and maintained a high retention rate, notably acknowledging their record enrollment earlier this fall. The College’s story has become a national success story of small private colleges.

“We thank U.S. News for recognizing the spectacular improvements at Adrian College in recent years and how these improvements translate into higher academic credentials in our student body.”
