ADRIAN, Mich (July 8, 2014) - Adrian College reported a banner year for donations in fiscal year, 2014. The College reports raising over $8 million—a record setting total.
“Commitment to Adrian College continues to grow. The Office of Development has just wrapped up its fiscal year with the highest reported support in the history of the College,” said Dr. Jeffrey R. Docking, president. “We are grateful to the individuals who have contributed to the reported $8 million raised.”
“We thank not only the contributors, but the leadership of Vice President Jim Mahony and the entire development staff, whose tireless efforts have brought new opportunities to the students of Adrian College.”
“It was the highest one-year fundraising total since launching the Renaissance campaigns,” said Jim Mahony.
“The support and legacy of our donors is tremendous. It is due to their continued support that the College has been able to build facilities, enhance academic programs and provide scholarship assistance to our students.”
The College will utilize the funds to support scholarships, academic programs and capital projects.
This fall, Adrian College will complete a remarkable renovation to Peelle & Jones Halls, the business and science buildings on campus, while construction plans are currently underway to build a brand new weight and fitness addition to the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center. Future plans for campus renovations include building a new art gallery in Mahan and new student housing.
