ADRIAN, Mich. — Adrian College Executive Assistant to the President Andrea Burt was promoted to Chief of Staff, Office of the President, and immediately began her new position. Burt, a Hudson, Mich. native, graduated from Adrian College in 2002 with a B.S. in Earth Science. In 2005, she started working at Adrian College in the Admissions office and was promoted to her previous role in 2006. Burt continued her education and received an M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Toledo in 2014.
Burt’s new position has an increased leadership role of representing the president’s office on campus and in the community. She will also represent the office of the president when the president is unable to attend meetings or events. Other responsibilities include government relations and grants, economic development initiatives in southeastern Michigan, connecting business leaders to the College, procuring national leaders to speak on campus, and overseeing large initiatives related to the future of the College. She also serves as the assistant secretary to the board of trustees.
