Annual Pink Zone Game at Adrian College Adds Additional Events

This year’s proceeds to benefit breast cancer research and support the Kasey Spence Fund

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Lady Bulldogs will paint the boards pink in the annual Pink Zone game at Merillat Center on the campus of Adrian College as they host Alma College on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 3:00 p.m. The regular season finale for the Women’s Basketball team will once again raise awareness and funds for the fight against breast cancer.

Survivors are asked to attend the game for a special recognition during pre-game. The Adrian College dance team will also be performing at halftime.

The event will begin at 2:00 p.m. with a silent auction, bake sale, and other events hosted in the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center lobby. Dave Santia, a speed painter, will also be performing (http://www.davesantiagallery.com/). His works will be available for sale with proceeds benefiting the Hickman Cancer Center.

This year boasts the inaugural “Chair-ity” auction as students from the art department auction off hand painted and decorated chairs. There will also be t-shirts, sweatshirts, bags, cozies and jewelry for sale during the festivities.

A portion of this year’s proceeds will support Adrian College’s own, Kasey Spence, a sophomore level student who has been diagnosed with stage three brain cancer. To learn more about Kasey and his story, click here
