ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian College announced recently that Ms. Bridgette Winslow, will be promoted to the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs, effective July 1.
Winslow joined Adrian College in 2010 as the Registrar, and brings over 15 years experience in higher education having worked in admissions, academic advising and fundraising in her previous positions. She will pursue her Ph.D. work at the University of Toledo later this year.
“I am pleased to serve in the capacity of Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs at Adrian College,” Winslow said. “I hope to contribute to academic advising, retention and academic programs in this role. I will continue to focus on student service and support as I have when in the Registrar’s Office. I look forward to working more closely with the faculty and achieving the goals of the new strategic plan.”
“Adrian College is fortunate to have someone of Ms. Winslow’s talents and expertise on our staff,” said Dr. Agnes Caldwell, vice president and dean of academic affairs. “Her background in advising and retention will help develop these areas in academic affairs. Furthermore, her student centered focus is very much part of the Adrian College ethos and will ensure the Dean’s office continues its work in this regard.”
In her new position with the College, Winslow will assist in communication between the faculty and administration. Other responsibilities includemanaging academic affairs data, preparing professional reports, and coordinate faculty searches. Ms. Winslow fills the position being vacated by current Assistant Dean, Keith McCleary, who held the position for three years.
Winslow earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education degrees from the University of Toledo. She has held roles in Academic Advising at the University of Toledo, as an Academic Advisor for Bowling Green State University, and the Assistant Director of Admission for Century Community and Technical College in White Bear Lake, MN. She also has experience in human resources and recruiting.
Ms. Winslow resides in Holland, Ohio with her husband Mike and three children: Jenna, Nicolas and Leah.
