Barktoberfest at Adrian College

ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian College, home of the Bulldogs, announces the inaugural Barktoberfest October 8th, 2011. With food, fall festivities, music, and football, this unique event is certain to feature something for everyone. Beginning at 3 p.m. and concluding around 5:30 p.m., Barktoberfest will be held at the Multi Sport Stadium grounds off Charles Street in Adrian, MI.

Headline entertainment is the Scott Thompson Band of Blissfield, MI. Their distinctive sound has hit the stage throughout the country with its rock solid rhythm section, hot guitar playing and a saw’n fiddle. Complimented with raw and authentic vocals, the group is sure to be a hit with today’s country music fans. Featuring a collaboration of some of the area’s most talented musicians, the group combines an appreciation of the classics with the energy of the latest hits.

Family and friends can enjoy a local farmer’s market featuring a homegrown pumpkin patch. With inflatables, a petting zoo, horse rides, hay rides, and of course Bruiser the AC Bulldog mascot, there is certain to be fun for the whole family.

Enjoy a Chili Dinner (with Cornbread, Dessert, Beverage) for $5, Children 10 and under $3, or sweeten up your taste buds with a caramel apple or other fall treat. Catch up with friends at the Beer & Wine Tent (photo IDs required).

Following the festivities, show your Bulldog Spirit as the Adrian College Bulldogs face the Olivet Comets on the football field. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. with general admission $5, seniors over 60 and children under 10 $3. Be there early to watch the Pig Skin Pig Race before the game!

A special invitation is extended to all First Responders. All Fire, Police, EMT (with professional IDs) will receive free a Chili Dinner and specially priced admission to the game $3, with recognition being given at half-time.
