ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College men’s basketball program will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity on Monday, Nov. 10 when they travel to Syracuse University for an exhibition contest against the Orange at the Carrier Dome. Adrian College is one of two teams that will play an exhibition game in the famous arena joining Carleton (Canada) who is scheduled to play on Sunday, Nov. 2.
“I am extremely excited about the opportunity to play one of the nation’s top basketball programs,” said head coach Mark White. “The Syracuse game is an example of the great experiences and competition that Adrian College provides for its student-athletes. Competing against a Hall of Fame Coach is something that I shall cherish for the rest of my life. I am sure our players feel the same.”
The Hall of Fame coach for the Syracuse Orange is no stranger to those who follow college basketball. Jim Boeheim has built a top-notch program and is the owner of the second most coaching victories in NCAA Division I history (948). He is entering the 39th season at his alma mater and his team is coming off its sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament berth and finished with a 28-5 overall record last season.
