ADRIAN, MI. – A small fire at Lowry Hall on north campus was reported at approximately 4:30 P.M. on Wednesday, June 6, 2012. The facility houses students employed by the College through the summer and one full-time staff member.
All residents are safe and have been accounted for. Some smoke associated with the incident has relocated residents to Deans Hall. The College has made accommodations for bedding; meals and other immediate needs and will provide temporary access to essentials later this evening. A meeting for those affected has been scheduled for 7:00 P.M. in the Caine Student Center.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, with initial reports indicating the origin in a basement level kitchen of the residence hall.
