Esteemed Entrepreneur & Professor To Speak At Adrian College

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College Institute for Creativity and the Adrian College Institute for Education will welcome Dr. Gene William Poor, Hamilton Endowed Professor of Entrepreneurship at Bowling Green State University, to speak on Monday, October 8, 2012. The event will begin at 6:00 P.M. in Valade 202 at Adrian College. The event is free and open to the public.

Dr. Poor is an accomplished professor and entrepreneur. His awards include the 2004 BGSU Master Teacher Award, and the 2004 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

A pioneer in the field of animatronics, Dr. Poor started several businesses before founding LifeFormations, an animatronics studio, in 1990. Today, with Dr. Poor as a coach, LifeFormations has become an industry leader, creating static and animated figures for locations around the world.

Dr. Poor also initiated BGSU’s popular Visual Communication Program in 1975, becoming the Hamilton Professor of Entrepreneurship in BGSU’s College of Business Administration in 2005. He is also the author of two books, “The Illusion of Life: Lifelike Robotics,” and Animatronics: A Designer’s Resource Guide.”
