ADRIAN, Mich - The Institute for Education and the Teacher Education Department are partnering to sponsor the Mental Health & School Safety Presentation at Adrian College on Wednesday, April 17 at 6:00 p.m. Lauren Kazee, Mental Health Consultant, LMSW will be on hand to discuss the linkbetween poverty, mental health and school/academic success.
The discussion will emphasize the importance of relationships, respect and school safety in addressing those concerns, highlighting the efforts of the Michigan Department of Education in addressing these issues.
Interactive dialogue and a Q & A session will be provided. This event is free and open to the public. It is geared toward community partners, school administrators and staff and pre-service teachers.
