Sneak Peek Welcomes 900 Visitors to Campus

Event offers incoming students a first-hand look at the College prior to Welcome Week

ADRIAN, Mich. (July 10, 2015) – Adrian College hosted its annual Sneak Peek Day, welcoming over 900 attendees to campus. As has been recent tradition, the event offered each incoming freshman a glimpse of campus accommodations, student life and an opportunity to meet their roommate and plan for fall semester. Students and their families perused the Adrian College Bookstore, dined at Ritchie Dining Hall and walked around the Mall meeting fellow freshmen.

Madelyn Tapp, an incoming freshman from Clinton, Mich., attended Sneak Peek Day despite already being quite familiar with Adrian College.

“My parents met here, went here and got married here,” she said. “But I chose Adrian because it’s always felt like home to me. Even though I knew a lot about the campus already, I met a lot of new people today. I’ve been able to say ‘I’ll see you in the fall!’ It’s been a lot of fun.”

Staff and faculty were available during this event to answer questions, discuss the upcoming fall semester and provide a first-hand tour to incoming students, family and friends. Sneak Peek Day also provided full access to the campus amenities and offered drawings with prizes such as mini-fridges and an iPad.

“I like that there are so many faculty and staff at Sneak Peek Day willing to help you, but you are also given the chance to go on your own to do and see what you want,” said incoming freshman Rachel Grisham of Adrian, Mich.

“Since it is such a small college, you feel so close to all of these people. It’s an amazing atmosphere and I am so excited for this to be my home.”

Sneak Peek Day is an event that aims to cater to increasingly large freshmen classes each year. This fall, Adrian College anticipates a class of 600 freshmen to campus.
