Men's volleyball head coach Jordan Timmerman named National Coach of the Year

DALLAS, Tex. - Men’s Volleyball head coach Jordan Timmerman has been named the NCVF Division II National Coach of the Year for 2012-13 as announced Wednesday night at the annual pre-national banquet.

The Bulldogs are currently ranked No. 1 in Division II for the first time in school history and are the top-seed in the National Tournament which begins Thursday with three matches at the Dallas Convention Center.

“I am so grateful to be coaching such great student-athletes here at Adrian College,” said Timmerman. “Our program has made great strides in just two years and the commitment level of the players is what allows for recognition. I know that we are only going to continue to be better and look forward to what will happen down the road.”

The Bulldogs won their conference tournament earlier this season and posted a 9-1 record in league play. The team has an overall record of 33-20 heading into today’s action. The Bulldogs are playing in Pool 2A against the likes of Worcester Poly, Maryland-Baltimore County and Augustana on day one.
