Francis Yun received degrees from Boston University and the Manhattan School of Music where he studied piano with Tong-il Han and Marc Silverman. Also a harpsichordist, Mr. Yun has studied with Gwendolyn Toth and Edward Parmentier. His recent performances include a recital at Columbia University for their Rabi-Warner concert series and a recital at Columbia College in Chicago. In October of 2010, Mr. Yun organized and performed in a recital of Book 1 of Bach's Well Tempered Clavier with 24 different keyboardists at Montclair State University. An educator at heart, Mr. Yun has been on the faculty at Brevard Music Center and the New Jersey Youth Symphony. He has also been on the faculty at Montclair State University where he was a professor of Music Theory and a staff accompanist. Mr. Yun also taught piano for the Preparatory Center for the Arts at Montclair State University. During the summers, he teaches piano at Friends Music Camp based in Ohio. He is currently at Adrian College as an Instrumental Coach while pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree at the University of Michigan in Harpsichord Performance.
