Dr. John Goetschius joined the faculty at Adrian College in the Fall of 2016. He earned a PhD in Sports Medicine and a MEd in Athletic Training from the University of Virginia and a BS in Athletic Training from the University of Vermont. Prior to Adrian College, Dr. Goetschius also worked at the University of Virginia as an athletic trainer in the Department of Athletics and as a clinical research coordinator in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Goetschius’ research interests include improving short and long-term outcomes for patients with a history of lower-extremity joint injury through the study of post-traumatic muscle dysfunction and clinical interventions. His recent work has focused on quadriceps muscle impairments and altered lower-extremity movement patterns in patients with a history of ACL reconstruction surgery.
