Keith joined the Adrian College faculty in the fall of 1997 as a Chemistry Professor, specializing in Analytical Chemistry. Prior to his arrival on campus, he spent over 4 years as a research scientist at DuPont Central Research and Development.
He regularly teaches non-majors chemistry, working to make the subject relevant and interesting to those not natively inclined to believe so. He directs students in the annual “Magic of Science” community outreach show which has educated and entertained over 4000 people since its’ reincarnation. He regularly teaches 6 different courses in the department.
Since the field of Chemistry has always been entwined with technology, Keith has branched out to the CIS department since it was redesigned 3 years ago. He currently teaches two courses in CIS: Introduction to the Digital Culture, and Web-Based Programming.
Keith was awarded the 2007 Ross Newsom Award for outstanding teaching.
