Biography
Lori Bitz is the trumpet instructor at Adrian College where she serves as the Chamber Brass Coach and teaches Brass Methods. She also serves as the instructor of brass at The University of Findlay in Findlay, OH. Lore received a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Central Michigan University, where she was a student of Dennis Horton. She earned a Master's of Music degree in Trumpet Performance from Bowling Green State University, where she studied with Edwin Betts.
Lori holds the Principal Trumpet position of the Adrian Symphony. She has served as the Principal Trumpet of the Birmingham-Bloomfield Symphony and the Lima Symphony Orchestra, as well as section trumpet with the Greater Lansing Symphony, the Midland Symphony and the Mansfield Symphony Orchestras. Lori has served as Utility Trumpet with the Toledo Symphony and the Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestras. In addition to performing, Lori serves as Minister of Music at Hope Luteran Church in Toledo, OH where she directs the Chancel, Children's, Handbell, Chime and Trumpet Choirs, as well as Hope's Praise Team.
