Phillip Schaedler is a practicing attorney, mediator and arbitrator and has been licensed since 1983. Phillip graduated from Michigan State University and the University of Toledo School of Law. Phillip's family has had a very long association with Adrian College as a result of his mother's status in the United Methodist Women's Society and her relationship with Dr. John Dawson. Phillip's background is in healthcare law and risk management, specializing in the development and management of off shore captive insurance companies, risk finance and claims management for some of the major healthcare providers in Michigan, North Carolina and Georgia. Phillip is a partner in a small firm in Adrian where a large percentage of his time is devoted to alternative dispute resolution in both general civil and domestic relations disputes. Phillip is a trained facilitative and evaluative mediator and an arbitrator. A great deal of his work is devoted to family law and medical malpractice cases. Phillip's passion is the volunteer work he does for area school systems conducting restorative justice conferences and peace circles as well as training students in peer to peer mediation.
