Biography

    ​With 12 years of private and college-level teaching experience, Scott Parnell offers all levels of guitar instruction in the styles of rock, jazz, and classical, as well as electric bass.

    Scott received a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from The College of Wooster in 1995, specializing in guitar performance. He furthered his studies at Bowling Green State University, receiving his Masters degree in guitar performance  in 1997.

    He taught at The Perrysburg School of Music from 2002-2008. He has also taught guitar lessons and other music classes at Bluffton University since 1999.

    He has played in many musical groups as well as several free-lance gigs. His main guitar influences are Jimi Hendrix, Alex Lifeson, Stevie Ray Vaughn, David Gilmore, Carlos Santana, Grant Green, Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell, John McLaughlin, and Manuel Barrueco.
