Join us in Robinson Planetarium for Star Talk!
The long nights near the winter solstice display some of the brightest constellations of the year. This live star presentation will focus on the familiar Winter Circle, sometimes called the Winter Hexagon. The stars that make up the circle are the brightest stars of 6 constellations. They paint a large circle of brilliant stars on the dark dome of the winter night sky and encircle Orion’s bright ruddy star Betelgeuse. We will also explore the bright planet Jupiter and Comet Ison.
Please note: due to the construction at Peelle Hall, the Robinson Planetarium will not be handicap accessible until September 30, 2014. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
