Our Mission Statement

We are a group of trained peer consultants who provide a free writing resource to Adrian College Students. We are majors in different academic disciplines and are skilled undergraduate writers. We strive for a collaborative atmosphere in which tutors and clients work together, and where students can become more confident and successful in their writing abilities. We do not “fix” or correct papers but work to help our clients improve their writing skills and processes by providing an extra set of eyes and ears for their work.

We are Peer Writing Consultants. We are Adrian College.

What We Do:

• We welcome drop-ins and appointments!
• We help all writers continue their progress with writing.
• We help with any stage of the writing process: generating ideas, researching, drafting, and revising.
• We aim not to "fix" your paper but to improve your writing skills and strategies.
• We can help you learn how to cite sources appropriately and accurately.
• Writing consultants come from majors across the disciplines and can help you with any writing style for any course or other writing needs (cover letters, personal statements for graduate school, resumes, etc.).
• If you need proof that you were at the Writing Center for a class, professor, or other instructor, we will happily provide you with our Proof of Consultation form following your consultation.
